The Choir

Welcome to the Choir of St Mary’s Catholic Primary School, Crewe.

The Choir was established in 2004, and since that time has been extremely active and become very well-known in the local community and beyond, with a constant round of engagements – building bridges with other schools, church and community groups and national organisations, and performing for very many civic functions. We have three times been finalists in the Cheshire East / Love Music Trust Schools competition, and were double trophy-winners of the Rotary International Cheshire District “Youth Sings” competition.

Our list of engagements over the years is huge and includes Peace Concerts for Armed Forces days, for Remembrance days, for the Olympics, for the children of Gaza, for Unicef’s “Sing for Syria” campaign, and for UN Global Peace Day. We have sung at the National Memorial Arboretum, St Martin-in-the-Fields, Chester Cathedral, Salford Cathedral and many times at the Lyceum in Crewe.

Our repertoire is predominantly original songs for “Causes and Occasions”, composed by our choir leader. Please sample our material and get in touch if you would like us to share it. Happy singing!
